Your Vision

Let’s not waste any time.  One of the biggest reasons you may be feeling frustrated and overwhelmed already is probably because you have too many goals on your list.  From time to time, we all tend to make a long list of things we’d like to accomplish not giving any thought to how long it’s going to take to get them done.  Therefore, in order to bring clarity to your thoughts which will help you to stay focused at all times, here is your first assignment.

Materials Needed: a blank sheet of paper, a pen, and 30 minutes of quiet time.

1.  It doesn’t matter if you’ve already written your business goals for 2012 or not, you will need to list them again. List no more than three (yes, 3) things you’d like to accomplish in your business this year.

2.  Now, look at each goal and ask yourself these questions: 1. Do I have the experience needed to accomplish this goal? If not, am I willing to get the necessary help?  2.  Am I passionate about this goal? 3. Do I have a good reason for wanting to accomplish this goal?

3. Based on your answers, you now have everything you need to determine whether or not your goals are realistic or not. All of your answers should have been yes.  If you answered no on any question, you are in trouble and that could be the main reason why you are feeling frustrated and overwhelmed right now. If you answered yes to all of the questions on each goal, Yippee, your homework is done.  If not, you have some work to do.  You will need to continue working on your list until you are able to answer yes to all of the questions.

Ok, that’s it for this week.  Deciding what you want and understanding the difference between a wish and a goal can be one of the hardest things you will ever do.  However, once your goals are written down and clear in your mind you will be amazed how fast you can get them accomplished.

To Your Success!  Have a Wonderful Week!
